LINCOLN DOUGLAS — HISTORY

Over the past fifteen years of Lincoln-Douglas debate, thirteen different schools have claimed a state championship in this event. However, only two schools have achieved the rare feat of winning all three divisions in a single season—Starr's Mill High School in 2012 and Midtown High School in 2023.

The only other program to come close was Northview High School in 2020, when they became the only school to have a finalist in all three divisions in the same year, underscoring the difficulty of achieving across-the-board dominance in LD debate.
